Message	from the factory (ever try to beat one out with a baseball bat? Uhh, yeah...me neither...) besides, it wont take much more than a bump to shatter the headlights whereas it takes a fairly significant collision to get windshield glass to actually leave the car. At that point, glass on racing surface is the least of their worries.
